Ceramic corrugated packing is a new type of regular packing, which has many advantages, such as large flux, high efficiency, low resistance, low cost, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance (500 ~ 700oC), large operating elasticity, and no obvious guilt. So it is first used for the separation process of high temperature and corrosive medium, and the operating pressure is between 0.1~500kPa (1~5000mbar). In 1976, Ke-rapak filler was first used to separate chlorinated organic compounds from distillation. The application of ceramic corrugated packing in China is also very good. The 470 type filler instead of floating valve tower is used for the production of polyformaldehyde. The economic income increases by 400 thousand yuan each year, and the 400 type filler also has many industrial applications. The main applications of ceramic corrugated packing are as follows:
1. Rectification, absorption and desorption of corrosive mixtures with strict requirements for pressure drop and theoretical plate number;
2. The vacuum operation from 100Pa (1mbar);
3. For special steel, glass and enamel towers, stainless steel, glass and graphite are commonly used as distributors, collectors and supporting grids.
4. Distillation of halogenated organic compounds is the main application area.
5, used as heat exchangers, demisters or catalyst carriers.
It is noteworthy that there is a large amount of water containing inorganic acids and lye, which is restricted or unsuitable for application. In addition, there are still disadvantages such as heavy weight, inconvenience in assembly and disassembly.
The ceramic structured packing has large specific surface area, large flux, small resistance, high efficiency, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance up to 1000 degrees C, and large operating elasticity, especially for the distillation and absorption of high temperature corrosive materials, which are strictly required for the pressure drop and the number of theoretical plates.
